Successful draw for the International E-tournament Quick '20
On the evening of Thursday 23rd of April, After a 3 way competition on the Quick '20 main field between Quick '20 E1, ATC '65 E1 and Quick '20 E2 , the draw took place for the International E-tournament. The tournament will take place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th of May.
Just before the draw, the new poster of the 28 teams from 8 countries was presented. New teams this year include Aspire Academy from Qatar, HOBRO Ik from Denmark plus West Ham United and Blackburn Rovers from England. After the presentation of the poster and the teams, there was an interview with Henk Koopman chief sponsor from Impulse Infosystems.The draw took place under the supervision of notary Bart Riteco. The E players from Quick '20 and ATC were given the task of drawing the 28 names from a large cup. This draw created four groups of seven teams. The teams will battle it out in the group phase that on Saturday 23rd May to see who goes through to the final rounds on Sunday the 24th.
After the draw took place the evening closed with an interview of our special guest Wout Brama, who played football for FC Twente and now for PEC Zwolle. Wout gave the young player tips on how to be a professional football player and how to prepare for an International E tournament. All in all a very successful evening that continued to be successful well into the night!
Since 2012, Quick '20 football club has annually organizes an international youth tournament for players under the age of 11.
At the Vondersweijde sports park in Oldenzaal, on 1 and 2 of june 2024, 28 teams from 10 different countries will battle it out for the title.
In addition to the sporting goals, the tournament organization is committed to playing a connecting role between the teams, the leaders of the different teams, themselves, Quick '20 and the people of Oldenzaal. So catch more than 120 players’ families on the evening of the 20st of May in down town Oldenzaal. That weekends all the hotels and restaurants will packed and people will really see The Smile of Twente.
That evening there will also be an opportunity to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the city center. New acquaintances will be made and knowledge will be passed on between the trainers and team leaders of the different teams.
Besides bringing in top teams from all over Europe, it is important to involve regional amateur teams in the international tournament. It goes without saying that sportsmanship and respect are of paramount importance, as these principles are reflected in what Quick '20 stands for, namely "Training and development, standing central in the community '
