Thursday evening, April 21, the draw took place amid great interest for the international Quick'20 U11 tournament, which this year will take place on Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29 at Sportpark Vondersweijde in Oldenzaal. 28 teams from 9 countries have been divided into 4 pools, with some great posters such as Feyenoord - Club Brugge, Ajax - Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund - PSV.
Prior to the draw, a mini tournament took place on the beautiful main field between the regional participants in the tournament, namely home club Quick '20, ATC '65, HVV Tubantia and Neo. NEO JO11 became the rightful winner with 3 victories!
The draw was presented by Peter Ekelhof who took the many guests and especially the players of the regional participating teams in an excellent way through the evening where the new main sponsor Koers Oost and the new poster were presented in a nice way.
The organization itself including chairman Erik ten Veldhuis and Roy Velthuis, one of the men of the first hour and co-founder of the U11 tournament, again enjoyed the enthusiasm and energy of this tournament after 2 years of cancellation due to the corona pandemic.
Important action points are that we are still diligently looking for host families but also for more enthusiastic, young successors for the future continuation of this beautiful Quick'20 event!

Since 2012, Quick '20 football club has annually organizes an international youth tournament for players under the age of 11.
At the Vondersweijde sports park in Oldenzaal, on 1 and 2 of june 2024, 28 teams from 10 different countries will battle it out for the title.
In addition to the sporting goals, the tournament organization is committed to playing a connecting role between the teams, the leaders of the different teams, themselves, Quick '20 and the people of Oldenzaal. So catch more than 120 players’ families on the evening of the 20st of May in down town Oldenzaal. That weekends all the hotels and restaurants will packed and people will really see The Smile of Twente.
That evening there will also be an opportunity to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the city center. New acquaintances will be made and knowledge will be passed on between the trainers and team leaders of the different teams.
Besides bringing in top teams from all over Europe, it is important to involve regional amateur teams in the international tournament. It goes without saying that sportsmanship and respect are of paramount importance, as these principles are reflected in what Quick '20 stands for, namely "Training and development, standing central in the community '
